About the Artist

My name is Martin Felschow living, grown up and raised a family in South East Queensland Australia, I am a self taught Graphite Artist, Used to do and teach full round wood carving until taking up drawing in graphite, Have always liked the effects that can be archived with the tonal range and the amount of detail that you can get with a 9b graphite pencil.

Coming from a country background I have always had a love for animals which where always my favourite carving subjects, which has carried over to my drawing.
Some of my graphite art pieces have won the overall champion at art shows of mixed mediums.

I believe that a beautiful piece of graphite art work that will last a life time in the form off a pet portrait, or just a portrait of a loved one just captures something that you can never get with a photo.

Portraits are just a part of my graphite work, love doing full seen involving sports, nature, wildlife and ect.
